There are so many incredible products on the market, how do you even choose? I was given a lot of hand-me-downs but also registered for swaddles that I knew were well-reviewed. Let's get started!

So this concludes out current journey but I'm sure there will be much more to come. Did I miss any great ones? I know there are a lot of great swaddles out there. Who knows? Maybe I need the tips for baby #2.....jkjk maybe.

  1. The Blanket Swaddle (Months 1-4)- When they first hand your baby to you in the hospital, this is famous swaddle the nurses are experts at. The babies love it and it's great practice for parents. Unless you bring your own swaddles, this will be it! Take all the advice you can from the amazing nurses. We still would use the blanket swaddle from time to time when he was inconsolable. Something about being wrapped up like a burrito, works like a charm. 10/10 Pro Tip: Make is SO TIGHT.

  1. Love-To-Dream Swaddle (Months 1-2)- Babies have something called a startle reflex that wakes them up up while they're sleeping because their little arms jerk up. This swaddle takes care of that problem by having their arms already up by their little heads. I brought one with me to the hospital because I'd heard such good things about it. Honestly, the nurses loved it and we continued to use only that swaddle for the first month of his life. He wore it mostly in the dock-a-tot and a stationary bassinet. 9/10 Pro Tip: Buy two so when they puke on one, you're still all set.

  1. The Ollie Swaddle (Months 2-6)- I think I can confidently say that this was our favorite swaddle. It's sooooo user friendly. It's basically a big square piece of fabric with velcro to secure them in and a rubber band at the bottom to hold their little feet. Ravi loved this swaddle. We were devastated when he started rolling because it was our magic tool. He's 7 months now and we still will wrap him in this occasionally when hes inconsolable. 10/10 No tips needed.

  1. The Merlin (Months 3-6)- Every parent I know swears by this product! It's the perfect transition out of the swaddle. I don't know why dressing your baby up like the Michelin Man makes them sleep better, but it really does. We were lucky and used it during the wintertime so overheating was never a problem (Is that even a thing with the Merlin?). The only reason we stopped using it was because the weather got warmer and we transitioned to sleep sacks. 10/10 Pro Tip: Only put a short-sleeve onesies on underneath.

  1. Sleep Sacks (Month 6-?)- Babies aren't allowed to have blankets in their cribs anymore so, sleep sacks it is! They're perfect for summer time. Ravi loves the mobility and they just look so damn cute. We aren't picky about anything but the material (cotton) and the price. We've been using BaeBae Brand because they had cute designs and were 3 for $15 on Amazon. So far, 10/10, no problems.
